What is ethanol?
Ethanol may also be known to some as biofuel for cars. During carbon dioxide-neutral production, plants are fermented in a natural process until 99.5% pure alcohol is produced. The simple and resource-saving production of ethanol uses either plant biomass or the biodegradable parts of waste.
Is the production and combustion of ethanol environmentally friendly?
Say goodbye to resource-damaging and bulky fuels such as wood or coal and make an effective contribution to protecting our environment by using ethanol. The combustion of ethanol is carbon dioxide neutral, as the only carbon dioxide released in the process is that which was previously absorbed by the plant during photosynthesis. This means that ethanol also breathes.
You ask yourself how? When the fuel is oxidized, i.e. burned, only the elements carbon and water are created, as in classic cellular respiration. Since the efficiency of ethanol is higher than that of conventional spirit due to an increase in compression behavior, this fuel does not need to be refilled frequently - it is economical and therefore twice as environmentally friendly.
