Anthrazit ist Naturstein, kein lackiertes Blech. Die Grundfarbe reicht von tiefem Grau bis nahezu Schwarz, und gezeichnet ist jede Platte anders: feine hellere Adern, matte und leicht schimmernde Zonen, hier und da ein warmer, rostfarbener Einschluss – dort sitzt Eisen im Gestein. Welche Zeichnung dein Stück trägt, sehen auch wir erst, wenn der Block gespalten ist.
Nass sieht er anders aus als trocken
Am Brunnen erlebst du das täglich: Nass wirkt Schiefer tief und fast schwarz, trocken heller und matter. Die Wasserlinie zeichnet sich ab, und nach einem Regenschauer sieht dein Brunnen anders aus als in der Mittagssonne. Das ist kein Mangel, sondern genau der Grund, warum Wasser auf Naturstein so gut aussieht.
Woher der Stein kommt
Dieser Schiefer entstand vor rund 400 Millionen Jahren als Schlamm auf einem Meeresboden. Druck und Zeit haben ihn verdichtet und in feine Schichten gefaltet. Was du in der Hand hältst, ist verdichtete Zeit – und keine zwei Platten haben dieselbe Geschichte.
Von Hand gespalten
Schiefer wird nicht geschnitten, sondern entlang seiner gewachsenen Schichten geöffnet. Deshalb siehst du auf der Oberfläche feine Striche und Spaltlinien, und dort, wo eine Schicht endet, eine kleine Stufe oder eine Kante, die leicht absteht. Das gehört dazu und ist bei jedem Stück anders – es ist der Beweis, dass hier gespalten und nicht gefräst wurde.
Gefügt wird ebenfalls von Hand: präzise genug, dass alles sitzt, und unperfekt genug, dass man die Hand dahinter erkennt. Eine Schattierung, eine Ader, die aus der Reihe tanzt: keine Fehler, sondern der Beleg, dass hier niemand eine Form abgefüllt hat.
Wir bekommen als Rohware, was der Berg hergibt – lenken lässt sich das weder im
Steinbruch noch im Lager. Ehrlich gesagt wollen wir das auch nicht. Lass dich
überraschen: Du bekommst das eine Stück, das in 400 Millionen Jahren entstanden ist
und das es kein zweites Mal gibt.

How a fountain works
The fountain operates in a closed circuit: a pump conveys the water upwards, from where it runs over the slate back into the basin. A water connection is not necessary; a power outlet is sufficient.
The pump is a wear part and can be replaced individually at any time. We keep replacement pumps permanently in our product range.
Water evaporates during operation. Every one to two weeks, you refill it; every four to six weeks, you clean the pump with the care set. The fountain does not require any more maintenance than this.

What is ethanol and how do CLIMAQUA® decorative fires work?
CLIMAQUA® decorative fires are operated with liquid bioethanol (ethanol = alcohol, bio = type of cultivation). The fuel is poured into the (cold) burning chamber using the included measuring cup and then lit with a match or safety lighter.
How long do CLIMAQUA® decorative fires burn?
One filling burns for approx. 2 hours (applies to 150ml and 400ml)
How safe are CLIMAQUA® decorative fires?
CLIMAQUA® decorative fires are built safely so that the liquid fuel cannot leak. The bioethanol is poured into the chamber with a measuring cup (included in the scope of delivery), and the built-in ceramic fiber sponge immediately absorbs the liquid and stores it.
If the CLIMAQUA® flame is accidentally knocked over, the fire remains controllable at all times, as the ceramic fiber sponge holds the fuel compactly in the tank. CLIMAQUA® bioethanol fire devices are built according to the DIN standard EN 16647, the European safety standard for bioethanol fire devices with a fill volume under 500ml. In some respects, the «CLIMAQUA® Safety for Ethanol» safety measures go even one step further. This makes the CLIMAQUA®
decorative fires safer than a candle in some respects.

How long does delivery take?
Usually 5 to 10 days. Orders to the EU are shipped from our warehouse in Germany, so you do not pay any customs duties.

How long is my warranty?
Two years, according to Swiss law (CO 210).
We won't leave you stranded after that: simply report your case, and we will find a generous solution as a gesture of goodwill — regardless of how old your product is.
Many of our sets include an extended warranty, which turns two years into five.
Can I pay in installments?

Why does my piece look different from the photo?
Because almost every CLIMAQUA product is a natural one-off. Each piece differs from the next — markings in the stone, an unusual coloration or a rough edge are all part of it; that is natural stone.
We use these imperfections deliberately. Our products are handcrafted rather than mass-produced by machine. As long as the function is not impaired, such irregularities are not manufacturing defects, but rather the character of the object.
Can I replace individual parts later?
Yes. CLIMAQUA fountains are built with plug-in systems; about 95 percent of all parts can be replaced individually, provided they are available.
This is intentional: a defective individual part should not be a reason to dispose of an entire product.
