Rusty Schiefer: 400 Millionen Jahre alter Naturstein
Description
How a fountain works
The fountain operates in a closed circuit: a pump conveys the water upwards, from where it runs over the slate back into the basin. A water connection is not necessary; a power outlet is sufficient.
The pump is a wear part and can be replaced individually at any time. We keep replacement pumps permanently in our product range.
Water evaporates during operation. Every one to two weeks, you refill it; every four to six weeks, you clean the pump with the care set. The fountain does not require any more maintenance than this.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does an indoor fountain really work as a humidifier?
Yes. Especially in heated rooms, water evaporates quickly and thus noticeably humidifies the air. Depending on the model, this effect varies in size. The larger the water-covered surface, the stronger the effect. Our water walls are very effective humidifiers.
Is the pump really silent?
Yes, the CLIMAQUA pumps are all silent. Should a noise occur nonetheless, it points to a malfunction. Possible causes could be that the pump was operated for a while without water or with too little water (which can lead to overheating), or that a dirt particle has become caught in the propeller.
Please therefore always check that there is enough water in the tank and that the pump is completely submerged (at least 1-2 cm below the water level). Clean the pump and the filter regularly to protect them from damage caused by unwanted particles.

How much effort are cleaning and care?
Less than you think: refill the evaporated water regularly, wipe the surface from time to time – that was the daily routine. AQUA SOFT helps against limescale, ALGICID against algae, and AQUA FRESH keeps the water fresh for longer (all available in the shop, already included in the sets). The pump appreciates an occasional rinse – once per season is usually enough. A step-by-step care guide comes with every fountain.
How long does delivery take?
Usually 5 to 10 days. Orders to the EU are shipped from our warehouse in Germany, so you do not pay any customs duties.
If a different timeframe applies to a product, it is stated directly next to the buy button.
Can I return it if I don't like it?
Yes. Test your product at home for 30 days without any pressure. If you are not satisfied, we will refund your money.
You are buying risk-free — 100 percent satisfaction or your money back.
How long is my warranty?
Two years, according to Swiss law (CO 210).
We won't leave you stranded after that: simply report your case, and we will find a generous solution as a gesture of goodwill — regardless of how old your product is.
Many of our sets include an extended warranty, which turns two years into five.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes — with Klarna, you can pay for your purchase in convenient installments. Simply select Klarna as your payment method at checkout and choose the installment option there.
This allows you to spread the investment over several months without delaying delivery.
Why does my piece look different from the photo?
Because almost every CLIMAQUA product is a natural one-off. Each piece differs from the next — markings in the stone, an unusual coloration or a rough edge are all part of it; that is natural stone.
We use these imperfections deliberately. Our products are handcrafted rather than mass-produced by machine. As long as the function is not impaired, such irregularities are not manufacturing defects, but rather the character of the object.
Can I replace individual parts later?
Yes. CLIMAQUA fountains are built with plug-in systems; about 95 percent of all parts can be replaced individually, provided they are available.
This is intentional: a defective individual part should not be a reason to dispose of an entire product.
