If you want to use the CLIMAQUA® plant bowl outdoors, for example on the balcony, terrace or in the garden, where it is exposed to rain, then simply drill a hole in the bottom of the container. To do this, use a conventional stone drill without an impact function. Slate is, it goes without saying, a weatherproof material and is ideal for withstanding the vagaries of the weather. Plant containers made of slate and stone are therefore winter-proof and will probably retain their natural color for several million years even under strong sunlight...

Our square plant bowls can be purchased in various sizes and in the colors "Rusty" or "Anthracite". Which version is right for you? That is purely a matter of taste. The important thing is that the container goes well with the intended plant. Slate, whether anthracite or rusty, harmonizes perfectly with green plants. A flowering plant with yellowish or red flowers may go better with "Anthracite" than the brown "Rusty". "Anthracite" looks great in a modern, puristic and timelessly elegant interior. "Rusty", on the other hand, goes perfectly with a natural, cozy and rather rustic interior.

Are you wondering which plants are suitable for plant bowls? You should make sure that you do not use fast-growing plants with deep roots. The proportions must be right. When choosing the right plants for your plant bowl, the location, the location conditions and the time of year are of course the most important factors. In principle, you can easily plant succulents or cacti, some herbs and lush green cat grass in a plant bowl. As the translation of the Japanese word bonsai already suggests, you can also easily plant a bonsai in a slate bowl. Bonsai means something like 'tree in a bowl'. Outside, the plant bowls are decorated with primroses or other small flowers such as tulips, crocuses or daffodils. When planting your plant bowl, make sure there is enough space so that the plants can thrive.

Pflanzschalen rund in jeder Grösse von klein bis XXL

Eine Pflanzschale lebt von ihrer Proportion: zu klein wirkt sie verloren, zu gross erdrückt sie die Pflanze. Eine pflanzschale rund öffnet die Bepflanzung in alle Richtungen — anders als ein hoher Pflanzkübel, der die Wurzel nach unten zieht, lässt die Schale Gräser, Sukkulenten oder eine flache Solitärpflanze ihren eigenen Raum nehmen. FAQs zu unseren Pflanzkübeln

Sind die Pflanzschalen frostsicher?

Ja. Die BOL-Schalen aus Stein und Naturstein sind dafür gebaut, ganzjährig draussen zu stehen — auch durch deutsche und schweizerische Winter. Das Material zieht keine Feuchtigkeit, die beim Gefrieren ausdehnt und reisst. Du musst die Schalen im Winter nicht einräumen.
Welche Grösse Pflanzschale passt zu meiner Terrasse?

Als Faustregel: BOL S für Eingang, Balkon oder als Akzent neben einem Sitzplatz. BOL M für die Mitte zwischen zwei Sesseln oder als Solitär auf einer mittelgrossen Terrasse. BOL L als XXL-Variante, wenn die Schale zum bewussten Element der Aussenfläche werden soll — ab etwa fünf Metern Terrassentiefe oder als zentraler Punkt im Eingangsbereich.
Wie pflege ich Pflanzschalen aus Naturstein?

Sehr wenig. Der Stein bekommt eine Patina, die du behalten solltest — kein Hochdruckreiniger, kein aggressives Schrubben. Naturstein gelegentlich mit klarem Wasser abspülen reicht. Im Winter kein Salz in der Nähe verwenden. Die Schalen werden nicht schöner, weil du sie polierst, sondern weil sie altern dürfen.
Können die Pflanzschalen auch drinnen stehen?

Ja. Natursteinschalen n funktionieren in einem Wintergarten, einer hellen Eingangshalle oder einem Loft genauso wie draussen. Wichtig ist nur, dass das Giesswasser nicht direkt auf empfindliche Holzböden tropft — eine Untersetzerlösung oder ein Steinplattenbereich darunter genügt.
