Description
How a fountain works
The fountain operates in a closed circuit: a pump conveys the water upwards, from where it runs over the slate back into the basin. A water connection is not necessary; a power outlet is sufficient.
The pump is a wear part and can be replaced individually at any time. We keep replacement pumps permanently in our product range.
Water evaporates during operation. Every one to two weeks, you refill it; every four to six weeks, you clean the pump with the care set. The fountain does not require any more maintenance than this.

Was passiert bei Regen? Ist der Brunnen wetterfest?
Unsere Gartenbrunnen aus Naturschiefer sind für draussen gemacht – Regen macht ihnen nichts aus, der Stein wird durch Witterung sogar noch charaktervoller. Auch Pumpe und LED-Beleuchtung sind für den Ausseneinsatz ausgelegt. Einzig vor dem Winter empfehlen wir: Wasser ablassen, den Brunnen abdecken oder geschützt lagern und die Pumpe frostfrei überwintern – so hast du viele Jahre Freude an deinem Brunnen.
Brauche ich einen Wasser- oder Stromanschluss?
Kein Wasseranschluss nötig: CLIMAQUA Brunnen arbeiten mit einem geschlossenen Kreislauf – die integrierte Pumpe lässt das eingefüllte Wasser immer wieder zirkulieren. Du füllst nur gelegentlich nach, was verdunstet. Für Strom genügt eine handelsübliche Steckdose in der Nähe (230 V) – darüber laufen Pumpe und LED-Beleuchtung. Viele kleine Zimmerbrunnen kommen sogar mit USB-Anschluss aus.
Schadet es dem Brunnen, wenn er längere Zeit nicht läuft (z. B. Ferienhaus)?
Nein – dem Brunnen selbst schadet eine Pause nicht. Wichtig ist nur: Bei längerer Abwesenheit das Wasser ablassen und den Brunnen trocken stehen lassen, damit sich kein stehendes Wasser bildet. Vor dem Neustart frisches Wasser einfüllen – fertig. Die Pumpe darf nur nie trocken (ohne Wasser) laufen. Damit ist der Brunnen auch für Ferienhäuser und Zweitwohnungen bestens geeignet.

Usually 5 to 10 days. Orders to the EU are shipped from our warehouse in Germany, so you do not pay any customs duties.

Why does my piece look different from the photo?
Because almost every CLIMAQUA product is a natural one-off. Each piece differs from the next — markings in the stone, an unusual coloration or a rough edge are all part of it; that is natural stone.
We use these imperfections deliberately. Our products are handcrafted rather than mass-produced by machine. As long as the function is not impaired, such irregularities are not manufacturing defects, but rather the character of the object.
Can I replace individual parts later?
Yes. CLIMAQUA fountains are built with plug-in systems; about 95 percent of all parts can be replaced individually, provided they are available.
This is intentional: a defective individual part should not be a reason to dispose of an entire product.
